Books gifted to me

I got the following books as a gift from the people at work today:

A Journey In the Shadow of Byzantium
By William Dalrymple

Its a travel book, by (it looks) a intelligent reflective person. I'm looking forward to it. I don't know anything about the part of the world he is writing about.

Amitav Ghosh's "The Hungry Tide". Don't know anything about it.

The Cycle of Spring by Rabindranath Tagore

The Writerly Life by RKNarayan

Thanks to the guys at work who did this. You'll rock bigtime.

I also brought home a book that has been lying at work for a while: "The Golden Gate" by Vikram Seth. And also "Freakonomics", a book that I lent to someone that was returned yesterday.
